Listed below are our vacation packages and weekend getaways for Captain’s Quarters Inn in Edenton. When you come to North Carolina, plan to stay with us and take advantage of one of our travel specials.

Coffee service outside your room and a full, hot breakfast each morning are included. We pride ourselves in serving locally grown seasonal fruits and vegetables. If you do not choose a package that includes dinner, you may still make reservations to join us on Saturday. Our menus are written with the seasons and availability of products in mind.

Update: Because of COVID-19 we are currently not offering any of our packages. We hope come springtime we can at least start with our BBQ package. We hope for the best.

Wine & Dine

Cost: $150 / couple plus room rate

Choose our two-day Wine and Dine weekend package to tantalize your taste buds during your getaway or romantic vacation in North Carolina.

Start with a wine and cheese tasting from around the world, from New Zealand to France and Chile to the United States. There are so many possibilities

Your morning starts off with coffee service outside your door and a full, hot breakfast in the dining room. There will be plenty of time to explore the historic town of Edenton, or perhaps just relax on the porch with a glass of your favorite beverage.

That evening at 7:00 pm, a three-course gourmet dinner matched with wines will be served in the dining room

Our menus are planned according to the seasons and the availability of products in the market.

After dinner, relax on the front porch or go for a walk before retiring for the evening.

The next morning, coffee service will be waiting for you outside your room, followed by breakfast served in the dining room.

BBQ Smoke Pork Rib Cooking Class

Cost: $85 / Couple plus Room Rate

Every 3rd Wednesday and Thursday – April thru October

Join us for our Wednesday and Thursday, two-night Rib Smoking Cooking Class. You will be schooled in the art of breaking down and prepping a full rack of pork ribs in the Saint Louis style.

Book your stay choosing from any of our wonderfully appointed rooms for two nights. Then “add to your stay” the BBQ Rib Cooking Class.

Wednesday at 6 pm we start with a BBQ sauce tasting and an introduction to the class. The next morning after breakfast the class begins. We will talk about different types of smokers, charcoal, smoking woods that are used and how to control the temperature of the smoker.

After lighting the smoker, we will then taste different rubs. Instructions will be demonstrated on breaking down a slab of ribs along with the preparation for cooking and seasoning of the ribs.

While the ribs are cooking, there will be plenty of time to explore the historic town of Edenton or just relax on the large wrap-around front porch. That evening we will have a taste off, of all the different ribs that you seasoned and then enjoy the traditional BBQ side dishes, along with wine. Bring some friends and let the competition begin.

Mystery Weekend

Cost: $150 / couple plus room rate

Take advantage of the Mystery Weekend package offered by our North Carolina bed and breakfast, the Captain’s Quarters Inn. These murder mystery weekends include gourmet dinners and breakfasts and can complement a romantic getaway.

Space is limited, so make your reservations early.

Come to the Captain’s Quarters Inn and have a fun weekend while trying to solve a mystery.

Friday at 6PM will start by having some hors d’oeuvres while the guests gather in the parlor. The story will then begin with the introduction of the suspects and, of course, the victim.

After breakfast, you will receive your first clue that will then lead you on to the many other clues within walking distance of the inn.

Spend the afternoon on the porch or in the parlor with clues and try to solve the mystery. There will be enough time left in your day to turn in your stories just before dinner

At 7 o’clock, dinner will be served in the dining room. The menu is a three-course meal that starts with an appetizer, followed by an entrée, and concludes with dessert. Who will come closest to solving the crime?

After breakfast, stories will be read, and the mystery will be revealed!
